Declare Afresh Our DE-pendence

The Declaration of Independence remains one of the most magnificent documents around the world.

The 56 signers put their lives at risk by penning their name to it–a stand that became the epicenter of historical shock waves which have continued to rock the world from that day forward. All of us living in the United States of America today enjoy the benefits of their vision, courage, and sacrifice.

But 240 years after the 13 original colonies cast off British rule to begin a new nation, is it now time for us to declare afresh our DE-pendence — not upon a colonial ruler, the hope of a new election year or even a new President of the United States– but upon Almighty God?

American green dollar money detail and close-up.

In fact, both the Bible and history show that while our Creator God has indeed endowed us with certain rights, apart from surrender to and reliance upon Him our stewardship of those rights is fatally flawed.

In short, we botch our freedoms and privileges by going our own way rather than His (that’s called sin), and the consequences are catastrophic.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

Daily in workplaces across our country, CCA chaplains walk with people through the circumstances of life that call for a Higher Power — in fact, a Savior — greater than any one of us. His Name is Jesus.

In the course of these ongoing relationships, our chaplains have the wondrous privilege of sharing the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ and seeing their here-and-now as well as their eternity transformed forever as they experience the truth that “if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36)

Do you have a CCA chaplain serving in your workplace? If so, we are very grateful for the privilege of being partners with you in making a lasting difference in your employees’ lives. Thank you!  If not, we would love to talk with you about the benefits to your company, as well as to your employees, and about the significance of this outreach in the work of Christ’s Kingdom.  Contact us!

Each of us CAN be part of helping others receive freedom through a relationship with Jesus Christ — which comes through a declaration of faith and de-pendence upon Him.

Please join with us today in this vital work…

  1. I have recently retired from a very rewarding career as an analytical chemist. I am interested in serving local businesses as a chaplain. I have no seminary training but have been very active in my local church since childhood. I am 84 years old,but enjoy excellent health and I feel I can serve the Lord for a few more years.
