Seasons and September just seem to go together.
The end of baseball season…
The start of football season…
The political campaign season…
The end of the summer season…
The beginning of the fall season
You name it.
A Question: What season is it in your life and in your workplace right now? And, how’s it going? How are you holding up?
The Bible says, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven…” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). It then goes on to speak about birth and death, planting and harvesting, weeping and laughing and a whole lot more.
It underscores the truth that you and I (and everyone with whom we work) walk through the exhilarating, gut-wrenching “stuff” of life everyday, sometimes seemingly all in the same breath.
Every day – as life comes at us fast, sometimes with warm hugs and other times with a cold, hard edge – we and everyone around us needs to know and experience that…
God loves us…
that He sent the Lord Jesus Christ as His provision for our ultimate need, and…
that trust in Him is the solid-rock foundation for building a life that will endure strongly and well, whatever may come.
The Bible likens a person who lives each day to know and please God to “a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither” (Psalm 1:3).
That’s the way I want to be, and I’ll bet you do too. It’s also what we help others come to know, through this ministry – what a privilege!
Daily, in workplaces across our nation, our trained, caring chaplains are “on mission” helping employees and their loved ones have real hope for real life.
Daily, we receive feedback from individuals who have been comforted, rescued, encouraged, guided, helped and even saved for eternity through our chaplains.
If you are a CEO or business owner investing in providing chaplaincy care to your employees, THANK YOU for allowing us to be trusted partners in their lives. (We’d love for you to tell a business associate about how we’re working together, and suggest they talk with us.)
If you’re a person who knows one of our chaplains, and appreciates the value of their faithful, tireless ministry, would you please pray for them?
Just like all of us, they need a daily portion of God’s grace for each day’s opportunities and challenges.
Let Us Pray With You
If there are ways we can pray for you, please let us know. Our staff begins each day in our Support Center with a time of prayer, and we would be honored to include your need or concern.
“…let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9).
Whatever this season of life holds for you — baseball, football, hurricanes, politics, autumn leaves, weeping, laughing, and anything else – may these words, and the sure promise of our Savior’s love and care, fill you with His peace, joy, and strength.
